Obscurity

Hello and welcome to Desertion Photograpy. My name in the exploring world is Obscurity which means the state of being indistinct or indefinite for lack of adequate illumination.

I am a young male with a keen eye for my photography. Born in 1990 at Margate hospital and living in Ramsgate my whole life i have tried many different hobbies and eventually come across urban exploration.

I have been involved with various websites over the years under the forum name Xplora but over the last year i have been much more commited to my photography rather than exploration which is how this site began.

Originally finding hidden places with school friends i quickly became dedictaed to uncovering and documenting more of the underground history in the UK. I began to photograph these sites and started to see there inner beauty of decay and abandonment. This is when i purchased my first DLSR camera and began to experiment with different styles of photography and to capture the decaying beauty of the places i have been.

I think my work is best described as urban and abstract. I try to focus the majority of my work on nature, historical or abandoned structures or using lighting effects to create abstract and exciting photography. Another way to describe my work is experimental as i try to refrain from using standard photography techniques and like to add something different to my work and make it my own whilst clearly showing a recognisable standard in my art/photography.

The thing i like most about my art is that it is different and i do it because i enjoy it and it comes very naturally to me showing similarities in all my images and as i progress so does my work.

I hope you enjoy the site and appreciate my style of art. Prints can be bought in various sizes and frames. A quote will be given upon request.

Welcome
